Meet Bilbo the Bunny

When me and my furends Brian @BrianBunny and Pippa @PuffyPantsKitty were discussing our mutual floofyness, we decided to form a super hero team called Super Fluffs United. Well, it evolved into Super Fluff Crime Fighters and along with Belle @Frankencat1 we added another floofy, Bilbo @Bilbo_the_Bunny.

Bilbo is a 7-year old girl Lion head bunny, adopted in July 2011. She likes chewing - spinach, carrot, cushions, shoes, etc. She is also proud member of #sfcf and supporter of #wlf

Bilbo, tell me how you got your name and a little about your purrrsonality.

I got my name from my first mummy. She thought I was a little boy rabbit and wanted to name me after a character from a book. Bilbo had a nice sound to it and I think that's why she chose it. My mummy Clare calls me all sorts of things that she thinks sound sweet - like Bill-bob, Bobby, Bill-bill - you get the picture

Were you a rescue? Does your mom know where you came from before you lived with her?

I wasn't a rescue, I was lucky to have a lovely first home. But as mummy explained, my first mummy couldn't look after me any more. She does come and visit sometimes though which is nice.

Tell me about your daily routine.

I am awake early - about 7am - mummy lets me come inside for a quick zoom-zoom-zoom around the flat. My favourite course is round and round her big footstool - sometimes I run so fast I can't stop - I'm like a racing car. Then I gets tired so I has a few rabbit pellets and then a big long snooze....I have the whole garden to myself while mummy is at work, so depending on my mood I is either a good bun and spend my time eating, sleeping, running and binkying...Or if I is feeling michevious, I check out mummy's plants and decide which ones I'm going to eat. when mummy gets home from work, it's treat time!!!!

I likes spinach, whole carrot (but not chopped, sliced or grated), coriander, parlsey, mint, brocolli and best of all curly kale. Then I has another big run round before flopping out on my chair and watching TV with mummy till it's time for her to go to bed. Next day I starts all over again.

Are you a snuggler or an indiffrirabbit?

Indiffirabbit - sometimes I lets mummy stroke me. But only when I is ready.

What is your favorite form of mischief?

Chewing things I shouldn't - so far I has eaten shoe laces (while still in shoes), jumper sleeves,  jeans, lots of plants, my tunnel, the corner of the sofa, the wire for the garden lights, and  my first chair cushion!!!

Tell me about an Awww moment that made your mom melt.

The first time is flopped out after mummy adopted me - she knew then I was happy with her. And whenever I wash my face and ears with my two paws - she just loves that and thinks it's the cutest thing ever.

What are your favorite foods and toys?

All the treat foods I mentioned, but especially curly kale - I comes running when I hear mummy opening the bag. I don't like special rabbit toys - I is happier with a paper shopping bag or leaflets that I can chew and throw up in the air - fun fun fun.

When did you join Twitter and what made you decide to Tweet in the first place?

I joined twitter at the start of January 2012, mummy's friend told her about how much fun it was and I was listening. I thought it did sound like fun. Mummy joined first but only ever got two followers. I decided I would see if I could find more new friends than she did so she helped me join - mummy isn't on twitter anymore cos she is too busy helping me tweet every day. I loves it and is soo pleased I have met so many lovely new friends - anipals and humans.

Thanks, Bilbo! I'm so happy we are furends. Please read Bilbo's mommy's interview on my mom's blog: Kept by Cats.

Next VPP will be less intense and more light. Just wanted first one to be unusual.

Loves you all! Now go have some noms and relax.

I loves you, Belle!
Will you marry me?

The Gargoyle is cured but he sez now he still won't help the Anipals because he can't read without his monocle. It's been taken by the Ferlie. The Anipals see the moncle is resting on top of Herman's heart, being surrounded by the Stone Cat Oracle.

The Anipals have to choose among there teams one purrson each to try to get the monocle away from the Stone Cat Oracle. Anipals choose a member from each of your teams to go get it.

BEWARE! You could be turned to stone.

Because its getting late and the Anipals are tired and want to go back to their noms, the Pajama Bear quickly shows them where Herman is hidden. He has been turned to stone and sits at the feet of a Gargoyle. Nearby is the Stone Cat Oracle.

The Gargoyle refuses to help the Anipals. he has a cold, one that the Ferlie gave him. The Anipals have to figure out how to cure his cold. What do they have in the bag that will make the Gargoyle feel better so he will help them rescue Herman?

Each of your teams has a special bag in which are items for you to use to rescue Herman. The bags contain:

Safety pins, 2 steak knives, jingle bells, bottled water, loose catnip, jar of flies, peanut butter sandwiches, rice pudding, caramel apples, carrots, bread, chocolate cake, milk, V-8 juice, thimbles, GoGurt, cayenne pepper, jar of glitter, iPod, mirror, DVD of GLEE, candles, matches, flashlight, horseradish, jump rope, clothes pin, water pistol, stick, box of Cheerios, Kleenex

PajamaBear’s catnip scent is very powerful. Beware the consequences of inhaling my wonderful aroma.

Pajama Bear tells the pals, Herman has been Abducted. Abducted by a FERLIE!

Now dark storm cloudes eclipse the impossible sun. A strong wind whips through the waterfall, drenching them with frigid water.

Herman tells them to go for help. He insists they all go.

They enter the tunnel, but it now closes in around them and again forces them back onto the bluff.

Herman is gone!

Herman gives Bell the tulip.

Suddenly the tulip spills purple glitter all over Herman! He tries to brush it off but it sticks to him.

Herman says: I feel kinda funny. Like my dinner noms aren't agreeing wif me.

Belle tries to help him, but Herman cries out in pain.
Don't move me, Belle. I feel very sick!

Herman suddenly returns, acting and looking very strange.

Suddenly, he has a different looking face. He teases and taunts his friends, making them upset. They decide they don't want to play with him, and try to crawl back into the tunnel. But they get lost and when they come back out, they are right back on the bluff.

Herman is just crawling up onto the bluff with the tulip he picked for Belle.

The pals tell Herman what a meanie he was to upset them. But he doesn't know what they're talking about.

Everyone slithers on their bellies to the edge of the bluff to watch Herman disappear over the edge.

There is concern the tulips are like the poppies in the Wizard of OZ. The Anipals are concerned because the purple waterfall and crayon colored birds cannot be real.

Herman: I want to pick a tulip for Belle. Everyone stay here. I'm going down. I'll be right back.

The sun itself burns with bright intensity, seeming to set fire to the wings of the jewel-toned birds circling overheard.

The roar of the waterfalls reminds the Anipals of purring, and blankets them with tranquility, making them sleepy. They have to fight to stay awake.

Looking through the wall of purple water they see something beautiful, so they decide to explore.

They step from behind the waterfall and see a valley, filled with tulips blanketing miles of rolling hills. From slicker yellow, to apple red, to hunter orange, the surreal panorama resembles crayons melting in the sun.

Suddenly, the Anipals emerge from the tunnel and gaze at the back of a wall of purple wall tumbling from the above cliff, past the small bluff on which they stand, onto boulders cloaked with orchid moss.

The crawl space is now very very tight. And sharp.

Faint light gradually drains the darkness, and as it intensifies it shifts from mauve to plum to violet...until the frenzied flickering fuses into a steady amethyst beam, streaming through the tunnel.

The tunnel gradually loses light and becomes opaque blackness, blinding the Anipals.

Silence fills the crawl space, getting smaller, and narrower.
They hear a low, distant rumble.
They feel the earth tremble ever so slightly beneath their paws.
The rumbling intensifies until its deafening bellow fills the darkness.
They clutch the soil in a futile effort to steady themselves.

The tunnel has dark, plum-tinted soil and feels like fine talcum powder. And a wonderful aroma fills the tunnel, giving the Anipals comfort, and luring them down the long, long, long corridor.

Okay, anybody who wants to follow me, c'mon! You'll haz to get down on your hands and knees cuz its thorny and might scratch you. So beware!

I found this tunnel, but Mom said I was never to go inside.
But she's not here. So what do you think? Want to explore with me?

Hi pals! I'm so pleased that you are attending my pawty tonight. I know you have been perplexed about what exactly is a Virtual Prowl Pawty. Well, it's not been done before, so there most likely will be some crazy bugs that will crawl out and need to be squashed (or eaten).

If you are attending the pawty on your computer, you will want to set up a couple tabs so you can tweet and also look at my blog. Alternate between the two as the Adventure unfolds.

There will be a lot of photos posted. A LOT. So please be patient. The photos are fun and I think you will enjoy seeing them. The photos will give you a visual of the Adventure, which I think you will appreciate.

If you haven’t formed teams yet, again please check the guest list and contact each other. However, if when the Adventure begins and someone is still not on a team, I will put the stragglers together.

Why teams? Because there are points in the Adventure where you will need to make decisions. And those decisions may point you in the wrong direction (gasp!)

This is an Adventure where there is a winner! And a prize! Maybe more prizes, we will see.

There are two points in the Adventure where you can win. I’m not telling you, of course. You will know if I tell you!

You won’t be going through the Adventure without help. You will have Guidance, so don’t worry.

However, I haz to warn you. There is DANGER and PERIL in this Adventure!

Some of you may not make it through to the end of the Adventure. But don’t worry. You won’t be left stranded. Your team mates will pick you up and carry you with them.

Also, there will be a big announcement at the end of my Virtual Prowl Pawty. So don’t go running off right away.

I hope you all can stay through to the end. Depending on how sloggy Twitter is tonight will depend on how long this takes. I’m hoping no more than 60-90 minutes. Who knows, we might be blessed by the Angels of Twitterverse and tweets and photos will move along briskly!

So! Welcome. Check out my garden and help yourself to the refreshment noms.

The Virtual Prowl Pawty will begin at 7:30 p.m. Central Time. However, for those of you unable to arrive exactly at 7:30, no worries. The Adventure won’t begin until 15-20 minutes later.

Thanks again, pals!

Love, Herman
