Squeaky and Elvis Review Downton Abbey Season 4 Finale

Herman: Well, it’s over. Seems like Downton Abbey just started, but now Season 4 has ended. Lets listen in on Squeaky & Elvis as they sit down to tea for their final review.
Elvis: *sips tea* Well, Squeaky what happened? One week Edith is barely pregnant and the next week she has had the baby, who has been adopted.
Squeaky: *sips tea* Yep! A whole 9 months went by in a flash. Wonder if the UK version includes the missing 9 months with all the glory of morning sickness and the letting out of waistlines?
Elvis: What did you think about the family saving the monarchy from scandal? *rolls eyes*
Squeaky: Purrsonally, I would have enjoyed seeing more scandal. It would have been entertaining if the truth were known that the Prince of Wales is a naughty boy.
Elvis: Indeed. And now…since Rose has been formally presented, I would suppose there will be a man courting her soon. Unless there aren’t any left because they are all interested in marrying Lady Mary.
Squeaky: All the boys are falling for Lady Mary. Though I rather miss Lady Zombie Mary. MOL.
Elvis: What about Thomas? How dare he bring a lady to look at the house, and then go upstairs!
Squeaky: Scandalous brother! Even though the lady in question practically bound up the stairs on her own with the enthusiasm of a naughty child. How was he to stop her?
*Brothers sip tea in unison*
Elvis: So now we must wait for Season 5. What will happen, do you suppose? Will Rose get married? Will Lady Edith find her man? Will the Abbey continue to survive? Will Thomas go to America?
Squeaky: So many questions and no answers until next season. *puts down cup* I’ve finished my tea. Thank cat! I’m more a milk and coffee kind of guy. So! Are you ready for #fightclub?
Elvis: *tosses up aside.* It's on like Donkey Kong!
Herman: Thank you Squeaky and Elvis for entertaining us with your reviews of Season 4. Stop by anytime!

Squeaky and Elvis Review Downton Abby

by Julie Tenopir

Elvis: Finally, mommy went to work so we can have our tea and review Downton Abby.
Squeaky: Indeed brother. I hate it when she is sick. She always wants me to sit with her and that disrupts my napping schedule.
Elvis: Tell me about it. I've got a lot of napping to catch up on.
*Brothers slurp tea in unison, with eyes half-closed*
Elvis: I'm desperate for a nap. Perhaps we should begin our review. It seems as though Lady Mary has suitors coming after her like ticks to a dog. Could it be there is a shortage of roles for performance people in the U.K. and they're trying to employ as many out of work actors as possible?
Squeaky: *answers with eyes closed* Or its possible the producers are parading potential beaus, not only before Lady Mary, but also before the television audience to determine which man will bring in higher ratings. *slurps tea*
Elvis: And what about our dear Tom? Has he found a new lady? I wonder!
Squeaky: I like her. She looks like fun. And speaking of fun... Ms Crawley has yet another suitor, it seems.
Elvis: *slurps tea* So, what about Mr. Banks traveling to York while his wife is out of town? Did he, or did he not give that nameless man servant a push into the street? Could he be a murderer?
*Instead of answering, Squeaky falls nose first into his teacup. The hot tea wakes him up.*
Squeaky: What! What happened?
Elvis: *hands him a napkin* You fell asleep.
Squeaky: *wipes his face* I’m sorry. I’m just so… *Yawn! Eyes close. Head nods.* Zzzz.
*Elvis finishes his tea, then retires to his favorite hidey hole napping spot*

Special Feature Intermew with Dana Moody aka DanaPixie

Earlier this month you read #6 Things You Don’t Know About Dana Moody

Today you’re going to learn much more. Since Miz Dana is a very active and busy lady, I had to tackle her in order to get her to answer my intermew questions. But even while I was sitting on top of her, she was sewing a quilt, baking bread, designing a wedding dress and stretching for a forthcoming marathon. She exhausts me!

So…without further delay…meet Dana Moody:

Herman: Of all of your creative outlets, which of them gives you the most satisfaction?

Dana: I have always been artsy-crafty…even when little. Over my lifetime I have drawn, painted, done pottery, sewn clothing and quilts, calligraphy, needle felting, paper laminated earrings, to name a few. I like to create things. To go from one thing, to create something else. Like the roving it takes to make a felted critter. Or the pieces of fabric cut and sewn to make a quilt. I like to bake too….. but don’t like to eat the end result :) And I really enjoy creating the Anipal Weddings. Using a graphics program I can take an image and totally transform it to the wishes of the bride and groom so no matter where they want the wedding to take place we can make it happen.

How did you discover Anipal tweeting?

I think I joined twitter in 2009, just to follow some cyclists (@LanceArmstrong @leviLeipheimer @ghincpie ) and some local news and weather folks. But they were kind of boring…. so in looking around I found @sockington (and later met his person Jason!) and thought it was the coolest thing that a cat named Socks was tweeting. From there I became friends with @PrincessGwenie, @Super_Muffy, and @SmokeyPoodle and from them I found a whole bunch of tweeting cats, dogs, stuffies, etc. So now most of those I follow have four legs and fur! :) The anipal community is one of the most caring and loving groups of pals I have ever come across.

Was the #AWP already in place before you joined the Anipals?

The very first anipal wedding was @hanseebundee and @poppy_dog. It was very sweet. The images were of Hans and Poppy (as themselves ) with cute dog wedding outfits on. They did the wedding themselves and I think it started the wedding trend.

The first wedding I helped with was @wildboutbirds Honeybell and @thatstripeycat's wedding. It took place on September 2, 2010. My sweet friend Pawsome, @holliecatrocks was the original Wedding Planner. We did quite a few weddings together, just the two of us. Over time the Anipal Wedding Planners has added more members since the Anipal community seem to be the marrying kind! :)

You can see the weddings we have done here: http://anipalweddings.blogspot.com/
#BelleHerm Epic Wedding, Cast of Thousands
#Pawcircle is now a huge part of the Anipal community. Did you create #Pawcircle?

#Pawcircle was created by @jinjindoggy and @bigboybosco years ago. They were chatting about their pal @BrunoTheDog, who wasn't feeling well. Bosco asked JinJin to take his paw and form a "pawcircle” for Bruno. JinJin put the hashtag on it ( #Pawcircle ) and quickly many anipals were joining paws in the #pawcircle. That is how it began!

I thought it was such a lovely gesture that whenever I saw someone use that hashtag I retweeted it. Soon pals were asking to be put in the #pawcircle or have a #pawcircle for one if their friends or family. If it weren't for Jinny and Bosco the #pawcircle wouldn't be what it is today.
You are very Sporty! Please tell us about your accomplishments.

I have always been active. As a youngster I took ballet for many years. Swam on a swim team and ran track in school for a bit. Have alpine skied since I was 11. Can Nordic classic and skate ski. Am a road and mountain bike cyclist. But not until I was an adult did I ever enter any events. I participated in some triathlons (swim-bike-run) and even won them in my age group! From there I entered some running events. 10K and half marathons. Then ran my first marathon. The California International Marathon. I trained hard for it, hoping to just finish. I finished in 3:30, and found out that qualified me for the Boston Marathon! I couldn’t pass up that opportunity, so took a month off and started training again for Boston. I ran it in 4:01. I was happy with that. Now I just run for fitness…and ski and cycle.

In all of your travels, what place do you consider most memorable?

Gosh, that’s a tough one. Each place has been memorable. We have been to Bali, quite a few places in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, France, Canada, Guatemala, Ecuador, Italy, Nepal and Thailand.

France was great, we followed the Tour de France around a bit while we where there. Italy was fun, we took our bikes and rode in the Maratona d’les Dolomites. The dolomites are spectacular. And great cycling there…and food! Nepal was awesome. We did a 14 day trek on the Anapurna circuit. The mountains there are breathtaking, the people so kind. In Bali monkeys stole my sunglasses! :) In Ecuador we saw whales and Blue Footed Boobies!

There are places we have been that I would like to go back to….yet it’s a big world and there it allot more to see!

Would you share with us a bit about your family life?

I was born and raised in California. My parents were from New York and moved to CA when my older brother was little. I have two siblings, an older brother and a younger sister, neither of whom are on twitter. :)

Jim ( @jim_moody and aka Mr Pixie) and I have been together for 16 years, married for 5 years. We have the sweetest kitty, known on twitter as TSK. We have many names for him… Toaster Strudel, Kit Kat, Jingles, Goose (as in silly…). You can read his story on my blog, Meandering Moodys. :=

We moved from California to Bend, Oregon just over a year ago, and we love it here.

Thank you so much, Dana! We thought you were pawsome before…but now we know you’re super pawsome!

Dana: You’re welcome. Can you get off me now? I have a marathon to run. *brushes white cat floof off her shirt, sprints out the door.*

You can follow Dana on Twitter at @DanaPixie and on her fun blog, Meandering Moodys.

My Brofur -- the Treat Feef

Hi pals, it's me, Herman!!! I've been asked by the Chewy.com company to review Freeze Dried Cat Treats made by the award-winning Orijen company. This is my very first official review, so I'm kinda nervous. *twists floofy tail into a nervous knot.*

When the package containing the treats arrived, we all knew there was something extra special inside it. We could smell it right through the bubble wrap. In fact, we followed Mom from the front door, through the house to the kitchen. We expected her to open it and share the goods right then and there. But she didn't. She put it on the kitchen counter, and then walked away. I repeat. She Walked Away!

We -- my fur sibs and I -- stood around with our mouths open, wondering what kind of torture was this? But then Opie took the matter into his own paws. He jumped onto the counter, and knocked the package to the floor. And then he attacked it!
He rubbed on the package, and when that didn't work, he pawed it, and clawed it, and then went to work on it with his teef. Those suckers are sharp. And pretty soon... the aroma of Freeze Dried Cat Treats filled our noses.

That's when Mom came back and saw what Opie did. She immediately sent him to the Bad Chair to think about what he'd done. She was about to send the rest of us to our rooms for being accomplices when I explained to her that I was supposed to write a review for the treats. So she gave in, and helped us open the package.

I was the first to taste them. OMC! They tasted like a symphony in my mouth! Cage-free chicken and turkey, plus wild-caught flounder from North Vancouver Island. No preservatives or filler stuff either!

Then my lil sisfur, Dori, insisted she review the treats. I told her only mine would count, but I let her have a few anyway.
I guess her lip smacking, accompanied by her jingle bells, was proof that she agreed with me. Then Peaches and her son, Jack, wanted in on the action.

Mom said nothing about us eating on her carpet since there wasn't a crumb left behind.

While our Orijen treat feast was taking place, Gidget was bird watching. She has this thing about birds. When she was an outside cat, she used to catch em. Now she's indoors and has to be content just to watch. She says watching from inside the house is like watching Downton Abbey with the sound off.

Yeah, I haz to agree.

Then, after the birds flew away, Gidget realized we were eating treats and they were almost gone. That's when Mom grabbed a few and gave them to her. Mom's do that kind of thing, don't they?

So now the treats are really almost gone...and guess who hadn't had any yet!

I felt kinda bad for Big Orange, so I tossed a few treats for him to eat. But then... Then! I couldn't believe my eyes! He started taking Gidget's treats. She's told me many times he's a treat feef, but I never saw him in action so I wasn't sure I should believe her. But there he was, right before my eyes, stealing the Orijen treats.

And I got it on video:

So the bag of Orijen Freeze Dried Cat Treats was finally gone... all but a memory. And since cats are notorious about forgetting stuff... I ran up to my office, booted up my computer and got to writing this review. It was exhausting work... I had to nap in the middle of it.

So, with the input from my fur sibs, we all agreed, 100%, that Orijen Freeze Dried Cat Treats are Wonderpurr! We loved the taste of the fresh ingredients and enjoyed the freeze dried texture as opposed to crunchy or soft treats. We got to sample the Original  flavor with the chicken and turkey and flounder, but I plan to try all of the 5 Great Flavors available: Tundra - featuring elk, venison, quail and steelhead trout, Regional Red made with ranch-raised beef, Alberta Lamb with its tender savory flavor and Wild Boar (OMC!!!)
