Kimberly Koz
was nice enough to send me a copy of her manuscript to her newest book, Finding
Mya - He can't live Happily Ever After without her. Part of what makes this
book so special is the artwork - all the drawings are done by 7 year-old Mya
Campbell and the photos are all by the author, Kimberly Koz.
Finding Mya
is about the special relationship between Mya and Herman. While Mya and Herman
(and all the other animals in the book) are real, the story is just a story.
Well, a very special story.
Herman is part
of a litter of kittens Mya's grandmother is fostering until they're old enough
to adopt. Mya helps her grandmother with the kittens, and forms a special
relationship with Herman. They're both heartbroken when Herman is chosen to go
to a forever home. Mya wants Herman to go home with her! They vow to find each
other again.
Herman's new
home has a dog that plays too rough with kittens. Herman runs away from his new
home before he ever gets in the front door. Along the way, he learns some hard
lessons and has a lot of adventures. I don't think it's spoiling anything to
say that he and Mya eventually find each other again. After all, if they
hadn't, there wouldn't be a story to tell!
The book
shows the power of love, friendship, trust, and having faith in all those
things. The illustrations are charming. It's only 78 pages long, but somehow in
those 78 pages it touches on so many themes. It's a positive, uplifting story
about overcoming adversity and living happily ever after.
We all
enjoyed this book, even mom. I think this book would make a wonderful gift for
little sticky people and cat lovers of all ages. The holidays will be here
before we know it and this would be a pawsome holiday gift. Finding Mya is

SURE TO BE A BELOVED CLASSIC! I
read and loved this book which pulls at your heart and makes you proud to be
loved by your pet. Herman is a cat that is separated from his adored girl, Mya.
The writer makes Herman come alive as a dedicated thinking kitty and a true
friend. I cried for him as he embraces many thrilling adventures that all lead
him back to his Mya so they can live their lives together. Herman meets many
new friends on his travels but knows he belongs with just one human, Mya. The
artwork is engaging and Herman sends adorable tickle thoughts out as he makes
his way back to Mya. Finding Mya hits all the right notes and will be read over
and over to any age group over the holidays in my home. Loved it. A plus.

Finding Mya is an adorable story
that children and adults will love. I loved reading about Herman's adventures
while he searched for Mya. I loved the mouse family and the 'tickle thoughts'
he shared with Mya. The pictures were also adorable!
I look forward to more of Kimberley Koz's books! She is a marvelous
storyteller.

I read this and bawled my eyes
out...in a GREAT way!! This story is written so well that Hermann becomes the
cat you cheer for the entire way!
This is definitely a book to read to your kids or let your kids read to you.
Mya is a very lucky human to have Hermann!!

As I read this book I found
myself laughing, crying and cheering for this sweet cat and his adventures. It
is a must read for old and young alike. Kimberly Koz is so talented and
creative that the story becomes magical and you won't be able to put it down.
This would make a great Holiday gift for anyone on your list. Herman will
capture your heart with his antics trying to find his Mya. The artwork is
adorable and so very well done! I cannot say enough good things about this
book. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I have read the book and love it.
I especially like the tickle thoughts. As an animal lover myself and amateur
rescuer, the books give a happy ending that every animal should have.
