MEET MR PIE!

The Wonderpurr Mr. Pie

Who doesn't love pie? Especially when pie is a lovable tuxedo kitteh named @Mr_Pie. It is my proud pleasure to bring you a most excellent intermew wif my wonderpurr furend, Mr Pie!

How old were you when you moved in with your family? Were you a rescue?
When I moved in with my sister, we were both 49 days old. We were rescued by Sandbach animal rescue as we’d been found in a hedge in Haslington, near Crewe. Our Mum was with us and we were a litter of 4 altogether. It was during the storms of October 2000 when we were born.

What breed are you?
I’m a moggie or domestic short-haired cat.

What inspired your pawrents to name you?
My folks gave us both Christmas themed named because we were adopted around Christmas time. My folks thought that would be easier as they would have more time to help us to settle in over a holiday period. My full name is Mince Pie, and my sister’s full name is Christmas Pudding. We also like the fact that we can be linked to the children’s nursery rhyme: Georgie Porgy Pudding and Pie – although we didn’t know I was to become a bit of a fatty.

Do you have siblings? Do you get along?
Yes, I live with my sister Pudding, we used to sleep in the same bed together when we were little but now we’re rarely seen sharing a bed unless it’s very cold. She tolerates me, as she is the clever one in our family. I like living with her and I love her really. She loves me too I think, but has to keep me in my place. We often play fight but I would never hurt her.

MEET SHARKSHEPARD

I recently met @SharkShepard and discovered, after I got over her maybe nomming on me a little, that she's fun and interesting. So I asked her to intermew and yay! she agreed.

What breed of shark are you?
I am a Great White Shark--with lasers--who wishes she was a Megalodon.

Ooooh! Cool! How did you get your name?
My name is my Xbox video game tag – Shark Shepard. Shark because I LOVE sharks. Shepard because Commander Shepard, from the Mass Effect trilogy, is the best video game character EVER.

Describe your personality.
Big, toothy, cheeky, cuddly, hungry, sarcastic, fun

Do you have a mischief incident that is still talked about with your family?
Well there was that day I accidentally ate the neighbor…KIDDING

MEET THE LOVELY COCO

I met my terrific furend, @CocosWordofDay earlier this year and loved her right away. She's sweet, and friendly, and loves modeling for avi's. Please meet the adorable Coco! (Yaaaay!)

What inspired your pawrents to name you?

When my Mom, Pop and Tia saw me for the first time they instantly called me COCO!

Do you have siblings? Do you get along?

My sister is Princess (@spanglishdiva on Twitter). I have a lil brother who is a cat. His name is Frank. We all get along but Princess and I will put Frank in his place when he gets out of hand!

How would you describe your personality?

I’m high energy and outgoing! I look older but I act like a puppy!

Do you have a mischief incident that is still talked about with your family?

Meet the GermanShorthairs

You know these faces...now meet Daisy, Gretchen and Banjo, @GermanShorthair on Twitter.

I love these doggies! They are fun, caring and wonderpurr furends! I hope you enjoy their intermew as much as I do.

How old were you when you moved in with your family? Were you a rescue?

Daisy: I was 7 weeks old when I moved in with my family. I was not rescued, but was picked out of a litter on a farm. I was the one eating goat poo and chasing the chickens. I was mama’s choice.

Gretchen: Like my sister Daisy, I was also 7 weeks old when I moved in with my family. Dad kept loosing me in all the puppy chaos…and who can blame him when there were 14 of us running wild.  But Dad managed to find me anyway!

Banjo: I was rescued from Lassen County Animal Control when I was about 8 months old. Mom and Dad had seen me on the Northern California GSP rescue site as an urgent rescue. I was to be put down the following day. So they left a message at the shelter telling them that they were interested and then Dad called the next morning to make sure they didn’t put me down. I needed eye surgery right away. The shelter could not afford the surgery, no one else wanted a dog that required immediate vet attention and I was in pain so they were going to put me down. Well, after Dad talked to the shelter they said they would hold me until the next day (Saturday). Mom and Dad drove 4 hours each way to save my life.

Ocean of Pink Wigs

If you tweet on Wednesday you might notice animals wearing wigs. It's all part of the wonderpurr tradition of #WigItUpWednesday. This past Wednesday @JeffMusk and @NancyCakeFace along with @Cats_Meows and @LilyLuWhoT promoted wearing pink wigs as a tribute to all our beloved pals who have gone Over The Rainbow Bridge this past year, and also in years passed. I'm sure the effect we all had on Twitter was remarkable...which of course we all are. Jeff just told me they plan to make this an Annual Event, so hang on your wigs, pals! Yay!

Here are some of the terrific avi's that I saw. Sorry I can't post them all as some avi's do not transfer clearly.

Witches, Wizards & Warlocks...Oh My!

Last week Anipals gathered for #WWPawty to support our furend @SpookyShorty who is struggling with cancer and his momma is struggling to pay his high vet bills. We have all been there at one time or another, unfortunately. I hope despite the pawty being over you will continue to think of Shorty and his dear momma in your prayers.

Here are some of the avi's from the event. I wish I could have included everyone, but unfortunately the avi photos do not always transfer well. These are the ones that did. Yay!
