Catsablanca Spypawty Huge Success

Thankew for coming to my birfday pawty on Caturday.

@TweetingTruman did a wonderpurr job putting it all together, arranging for DJ's @ShaynaCat who pulled a double shift wif amazing theme mewsic, and @DoggyMolly and @SamTheWatcher, and fabulous barktenders @PepperPom,  my lovely fiancee Belle, @Frankencat1 @DylCat and @DoggyMolly (again, thankew all!)

We trended #2 right from the start. Spammers were wondering what #Spypawty was and one guy, not a spammer but, he stopped by to exclaim how surprised he was to see it wasn't about spies, but a birfday pawty for a cat, and he wondered what was so special about the cat. Me! So I introduced myself...and explained I'm wonderpurr so he should just dive into the fabulous pool cake (thankew Truman!) and join in the fun. My bestman and pal, @NerissatheCat wanted to claw the guy for being rude, but I explained he was just uninformed. But I'm so pleased that my buddy had my back! Thanks Niss!
Truman's cake pool was a success!

Speaking of Buddy! My tabby brofur had his own tab on the Spypawty blog: http://spypawty2.blogspot.com/ as he is turning 22 years old on February 14th, Valentines Day!
My 22 year old brofur, Buddy
Anyway, thankew all for coming, and please be sure to applaud Truman for his amazing pawty planning. Yay!

Meet Monty the Pooh!

Monty The Pooh

You're in for a treat! My cousin @MontythePooh is just like me! A Turkish Van kitteh wif a handsome face, amazing intelligence, pikture-purrrfect purrsonality, and he comes from a far away place. I know you're going to love him as much as I do. So, please welcome MONTY!

Monty, how old were you when you moved in with your family? Were you a rescue?

I was 6 months old and yes I was a rescue kitty. My mommy adopted me from an animal rescue in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – that’s all the way in the Middle East! She also adopted another kitty name Yuri Puri who became my sister. She had us flown across the world to live in America with her and we are so lucky to live here because all the other cats in the world would dream of coming to America. They hear about how loved we are here and it’s true – we’re very very loved!

The Day My Life Changed Forever by @RockyTheDogg

Rocky and his wheelchair
Saturday, October 29th, 2011 started out to be such a normal day. The sun was out and I went on a brief adventure in the morning not being gone too long since I knew Daddy was making pancakes – my favorite. After breakfast Daddy took some pictures of me which turned out to be very good timing on his part.

Later that day Daddy was working on the tractor in the goat corral and I was on another of my great adventures which I loved so much. Wandering our seven acres is fun with great smells and things to chase. Suddenly -- I dropped! Oh no! What happened to me? I cannot move my back legs. I am shaking! I start crying and when Daddy turned off the tractor he can hear me but he doesn’t know where I am. He finally finds me and carries me back to the house. He is very scared and yells for Mommy who immediately calls the vet. They say to bring me right in.

Invitation to my Birfday Pawty!

I can't believe it's been a whole year since I threw myself a birfday pawty.

Remember my Virtual Prowl Pawty (#VPPy?) where I had my furends over to enjoy a picnic in my garden? I showed off my new pawsent from my Auntie Susan, Pajama Bear.
Then I had my friends follow me through a scary tunnel.

We found a field filled with zillions of tulips!

That's Rusty who was at my pawty.
I wanted to pick a tulip to give to my grrrrl, Belle, so I went down to pick it.

But guess what? That wasn't ME coming back up wif da tulip!

It was a Ferlie who looked like me!

And he skeered my pals by transforming from me into his ugly self:

He'd catnapped me and my pals had to rescue me.

My pals had to go through some challenges to find where the Ferlie hid me. And I was hidden real good!

Pepper was at my pawty too!
The pals pushed the Ferlie down a well.
And they filled it wif water to drown the ferlie.
My pals discovered the ferlie had turned me into a STONE!

In the end @SpartyPig and @3Phibotticelli were the ones who figured out how to rescue me and it was Belle's love for me that turned me back into me. Yay!

And remember I ended the pawty by proposing to Belle @Frankencat1. We finally gonna tie da knot on June 22nd. And our combined bachelor pawty will be on June 8th. So mark your calendars!

Anyway! It's my birfday again. January 18th I will be 12 years old. But instead of having an exhausting Virtual Prowl Pawty (my mom sez I can haz one sometime this year, but not now when she's on deadline to finish my book) my pal @TweetingTruman put a 1940s Catsablanca #Spypawty together to celebrate me.
Truman is a wonderpurr pal!

My Catsablanca pawty is on February 2nd from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

This is the link to the Twtvite: http://twtvite.com/catsablanca

And this is the link to the great blog Truman designed: http://spypawty2.blogspot.com/

I hope you all will come to my pawty. It's gonna be sooper!

The pawty will be all in black/white like a Classic Black/White movie, at 'Herman's Cafe' in Catsablanca!

If you need help with your avi, contact @PuppyNumber7, @Tattlecat, or @Tweetingtruman. Look on the pawty blog for some design options that we've selected. Of course you can create your own too! We would love for all the avis to be in black/white! If you've made your own avi and don't know how to decolorize it, just ask @tweetingtruman or me, @Tattlecat to do it for you!

Again, the pawty will be on Saturday, February 2, from 2-6 pm EST. See you there!

Meet Dolly the Doxie

I recently met @DollytheDoxie and thought you would enjoy getting to know her and her mom better. So please say Hello, Dolly!
How old were you when you moved in with your family? Were you a rescue?
I was 3 months old when mom and dad came to pick me up at Wright-Way Rescue. They first saw me and my littermates on Petfinder.com when I was 6 weeks old but we were too sick to come home yet. The shelter had found us in poor condition at a local humane society and got us out of there so we could get better and find homes up north in the city.
Are you a breed of some sort? *curious ears*
I was listed as a Dachshund mix. Mom likes the nickname Doxie because she can’t spell the long version. She new nothing about my breed just thought I would stay small. Two and a half years later she knows now that almost all of my personality and behavior is pure Doxie. The verdict is still out on what the rest of me is. Most people think I am a purebred when they see me. I am very flattered.

A Bed of Memories by Squeaky & Elvis

Our mommy never travels unless for business purposes. When asked why not travel, she always answers "I like my bed and being with my babies." Us, of course.

We asked the same question and this is what we were told: Even though we are in another house our things are still here with us. Starting with her bed. It may not be a resort bed, but the bed belonged to someone who shares her last name. When she lies down, she sees where sissy Smokey spent her last six months and where her food bowl was kept by her pillow. There is the comforter with blood stains from when Sissy Smokey had her last nose bleed. The blood mommy cannot wash away.

This is the same bed our mommy shared with her three girls (Kitty, The Bandit, & Smokey) wrapped around her, protecting her from unknown threats when she came from a month stay in the hospital.

This is the bed Kitty shared with her during naps and The Bandit snuggled against her chest.

This is the bed where she now sees two sleepy boys all curled up next to one another on his pillow and one is in his pink bed, creating another memory…one of many more to come.

So you see it isn’t just a bed to our mommy. It’s a scrapbook of memories, created by some to be finished by others. Mommy says she would rather sleep with the memories of past, present & future than in a bed with none.
